Description
Slade End Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse with later alterations. It features a plinth made of napped flint, red brick with flared brick headers arranged in Flemish bond, and an old plain-tile hipped roof with lead ridges. There are brick ridge stacks on the left and right returns of the roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range. To the left of the center, there is a six-panel door with an ornamental fanlight and a flat hood supported by brackets. The windows include 12-pane unhorned sashes with cambered rubbed brick heads on either side of the door, and a round-arched-topped sash window with early 20th-century stained glass in the center of the first floor. There are also three flat-roofed full dormers with 6-pane windows and a late 18th-century circular window on the left return. The rear of the farmhouse has two storeys and an attic, with a five-window range that includes some blocked windows. The interior has not been inspected.
