C15. much altered. Mainly timber framed with plaster infilling, old tiled roof. 2 storeys, 3 windows, the upper storey has 3, late C17 projecting 3 sided bay windows with half gables. Some original framing remains with centre light to each bay round arched. Exposed timber framing ground floor. Long rear wing to courtyard on south side with adjoining western wing formed by a former barn:- weatherboarded with hipped tiled roof.

Nos 45, 45A, and 47 and Nos 53 to 81 (odd) form a group with Nos 44 to 52 (even) and Nos 60 to 64 (even) opposite and with No 2 New Street.
