Description

High House is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The exterior is rendered, probably over brick, and features an old plain-tile hipped roof with lead ridges. There is a brick stack on the left side. The building is two stories high and has a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century six-panel door flanked by windows, all set within a square open porch supported by Ionic columns. On both the left and right sides, there are 19th-century angled bays with parapetted roofs. A brick band runs between the ground and first floors. The first floor has three 2-light casement windows, and there is a dentil cornice at the eaves. Inside, timber framing is visible.
