II GV

  1. 1729-date on rainwater pipe. Siler grey brick facade with red brick quoins and window dressings. Rubbed red brick string course, window arches and surround to panel. Old tiled roof, half hipped where it adjoins Red Cros s Public House to west. 2 storeys, moulded wooden modillion eaves and attic with 3. flat roofed dormers. 4 bays. Sashes with flush frames but glazing altered late C18 or early C19. Bay window on each floor with flat, lead covered, roof inserted at this time. Panel on 1st floor has an architrave of red rubbed bricks with crude Ionic volutes carved at outer top corners and initials on 5 centre bricks of arch. Doorway has been altered but has contemporary projecting curved hood over with panelled soffit. 10 panelled door with top 2 panels now glazed.

Nos 37 to 43 (odd), White Cottage, the Malthouse of Henley Brewery, Nos 51 to 55 (odd) and Wattle Cottage form a group with Nos 84 to 88 (even) and with No 29 Thameside.
