Description

Wattle Cottage is a 18th century building located on the north side of New Street. It features a facade made of colourwashed brick and has an old tiled roof that slopes back towards the roof of Bishops House. The cottage has large chimneys and is two storeys high with one window, showcasing early 19th century casements. It occupies an important position at the corner of Wharf Lane and has three windows on this elevation. Wattle Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 37 to 43 (odd), White Cottage, the Malthouse of Henley Brewery, Nos 51 to 55 (odd), along with Nos 84 to 88 (even) and No 29 Thameside.
