Description
This barn, located approximately 30 meters southwest of Slade End Farmhouse, is likely from the early 18th century. It features a coursed squared limestone plinth and large timber framing covered with weatherboarding, topped by an old plain-tile roof. The barn has six bays and lean-tos at the front. There is a gabled midstrey positioned to the right of the center, which includes a queen post roof truss at the gable end, although the doors are missing. The lean-tos have diamond-mullioned openings. The left and right sides are constructed with squared coursed limestone and have brick dressings. The barn has double queen post roof trusses at the gable ends, with red brick infill. The roof is primarily curved, except for the double queen post roof trusses located to the right of the center and at the ends.
