Description
Street House is a house dating from the 17th century, with an early 20th-century addition on the left. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with red brick dressings on the ground floor to the right, and red brick on the ground floor to the left of center. There is a red brick base with render, likely on brick, to the left. The first floor features large timber-framing with rendered infill to the left of center, and large timber-framing with herringbone pattern brick infill and some rendered upper panels to the right. The roof is covered in old plain tiles and is half-hipped to the right, with a brick ridge stack at the center and an end stack to the left. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a five-window range. To the left, there is a six-panel door with a flat hood on brackets, flanked by two-light casements. The windows have irregular fenestration, consisting of two or three-light casements, except for a wooden bay on brackets to the first floor left. There are four hipped dormers and a cross-gable to the left. Timber-framing is also present on the right return and rear of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
