Description
This building, located at 33 High Street, is a house that dates from the 16th century on the right side and the 18th century on the left side. It features cruck framing, with large timber framing on the right and thinner rectangular framing on the left. The right side has rendered infill, while the left side has both rendered and painted brick infill. The roof is covered with old plain tiles and has brick ridge stacks on both the left and right sides of the center.
The house is a single storey with an attic and has a three-window range. There is a plank door positioned to the left of the center. The windows display irregular fenestration, primarily consisting of two-light casements. A raking dormer is located at the center, and there is a half-hipped cross-gable on the right side. The right return of the house shows a cruck truss.
Inside, there is a full cruck truss to the right of the center. The ground floor features an open fireplace located to the right of the center, which includes a bread oven to the left. Additionally, there is a fire insurance plaque situated beneath the raking dormer at the center.
