Description
The Lower Lodge Entrance Walls and Piers, Railings, Gates, and Corner Turret in Friar Park were built in the late 19th century. They feature a wall made of red brick with stone banding and are railed at the approaches to the gates. At the eastern end, there is a small corner turret resembling a watch tower. The structure includes four tall gate piers, with the inner two topped by cast iron lamps. There are also iron gates for both vehicles and pedestrians. This group of buildings is part of the Friar Park estate and forms a cohesive group with Ancastle Cottage located opposite.
