Description

No. 4 Shirburn Street is a house built around 1790-1800. It features English bond brickwork, which is partly flared, with red brick dressings. The roof is gabled and covered with 20th-century tiles, and there is a brick stack at the left end. The house has a one-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a single-window range. Notable architectural details include carved brackets supporting a broken pediment above a six-panel door, which has four glazed panels and an overlight. The windows are 8-pane sashes with flat gauged brick arches above them. There is a red brick storey band. The interior has not been inspected.
