Description

Lloyds Bank is a building that originally served as a house, now functioning as a bank and flat. It dates from the late 18th century, with a 17th-century building at the rear. The structure is primarily constructed of grey English bond brick with red brick dressings, while the ground floor of the front has been rebuilt in 20th-century brick. The roof is gabled with old tiles and hipped on the right side, featuring brick end stacks.

The building has two storeys and a two-window range. A 20th-century flat hood covers the 20th-century door, and there are gauged brick flat arches over the sash windows. To the right side, there is a similar two-window range with a storey band. The rear features a 17th-century two-storey, one-bay building, where the right side wall is roughcast, with the first floor jettied over a timber-framed ground floor. This section includes a 19th-century six-panelled door and a three-light casement window. Inside, there are mid-18th-century cornices and a chamfered beam at the rear. The first floor has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
