Description

This building in Watlington High Street is a shop and house, originally dating to the 18th century and significantly altered around 1840. It is constructed of Flemish bond red brick, with older brick visible on the left side and rear. The roof is hipped, covered with old tiles, and features brick stacks on the left side and rear. The building has a double-depth plan. The front is two storeys and has a four-window arrangement. A mid-19th century shop front incorporates glazed double doors for the central entrance. The first floor has sash windows with gauged brick segmental arches above, and dentilled eaves. The right side wall is similar in design. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
