Description
The footstone to the Greeneinge memorial, dating from the mid-17th century, is located approximately 9 meters southeast of the porch of the Church of St. Mary on Great Milton Church Road. It is made of limestone and features a small stone with a three-sided head. The inscription reads "T G/DECEASED/THE 3 DAY OF/AVGSTE ANNO/DOMINI. 1639". A similar headstone facing it is part of the same memorial. This footstone is a well-preserved and complete example of an early type.
