Description

This is a headstone and footstone located approximately 2 metres south of the east end of the chancel of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of stone. The headstone features a shaped top and has a well-lettered inscription that reads, "Comfort / of lite she to the / living gave, whole / ---- on number'd / --- beyond...". The footstone, which is positioned next to the headstone, has a V-incised margin and five narrow concave topped niches.
