Description
The Gables is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It features a rendered base with large timber-framing supported by angle-braces and rendered infill. The roof is covered with old plain tiles and is half-hipped to the right, with a brick ridge stack positioned to the right of center. The house is single storey with an attic and has a three-window range that is set at right angles to the street. A 20th-century glazed door is located at the rear, while the ground floor has two-light casements. There are three gabled dormers on the upper level. At the rear, there is a cross-wing to the left that includes a carriageway leading through from the street. The interior has not been inspected.
