Description

Kings Holme is a house that dates from the 16th century, with a mid-17th century cross-wing on the left and a 19th century addition on the right. The building features cruck framing and large timber framing in the center with rendered infill. The cross-wing to the left has large timber framing with brick infill arranged in a herringbone pattern, while the right side is built of 19th century red brick. The roof of the cross-wing is covered in old plain tiles, while the center and right sections have plain tiles from the late 20th century. There are brick ridge stacks.

The house is a single storey with an attic, presenting a two-window range in the center, a two-storey cross-wing to the left, and a two-storey 19th century addition to the right. To the left, there is an 8-panel part-glazed door with a porch made from re-used timber framing. To the right, a 6-panel door also features a porch with re-used timber framing. A 4-light casement window is located to the right of the center, while a 2-light wood mullion window with a moulded wood surround is to the left of the center. The building has two gabled dormers and 5-light wood mullion windows on the right return and at the first floor end of the cross-wing. There is a French window at the end of the cross-wing, and the right side exhibits irregular fenestration from the 19th century. The house is noted for having three full cruck trusses.
