Description

Appletree Cottage, located at No. 29 on New Street, is an 18th-century building. It is constructed of red brick, with some grey and blue brick accents, and features an old tiled roof that has two gabled dormers. There is a string course at the first-floor sill height, and the cottage is two storeys tall with an attic. It has two sash windows with glazing bars and a six-panelled door, of which the top two panels are now glazed, topped by a flat canopy.

Appletree Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 33 (odd) and Nos 2 to 76 (even) opposite, as well as the walls associated with Nos 32 to 38 (even) and No 40.
