Description

54 New Street is a late 18th-century building with a brick facade featuring a Flemish bond pattern, alternating silver grey stretchers with red stretchers. It has an old tiled roof and stands three storeys tall, with two windows. The ground and first floors each have a late 18th or early 19th-century two-storey canted bay. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance includes a small round-arched door with a radial fanlight and a reeded lintel. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 76 (even) and Nos 1 to 33 (odd), as well as the walls associated with Nos 32 to 40 (even).
