Description

Numbers 1, 2, and 3 Thatched Cottages are a house, now divided into three cottages, dating back to the 17th century, with extensions added in the 18th century. The construction combines timber framing with brick and plaster infill, colourwashed limestone rubble, and thatched roofs topped with brick ridge stacks. The layout is L-shaped. The cottages have one storey plus attics. The front range, built of timber, features two plank doors, three two-light casement windows, and a three-light dormer window on the left side. A central stack is visible on the roof. The end walls are rendered. A lower rubble range, extending from the right end, includes two plank doors, three two-light casement windows, two small dormers, and a central stack. A continuous outshut is located at the rear of the main range. The interiors have not been inspected.
