Description
Greenacre is a substantial house built in the early to mid-18th century. It features red brick with flared headers and coursed clunch rubble with brick dressings, topped by an old plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. The house has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with attics. The symmetrical front has five windows arranged in Flemish bond, along with a storey band and a dentil eaves course. The central door is sheltered by a flat canopy, and the windows are 12-pane sashes with architrave frames and gauged-brick flat arches. There are also two small roof dormers. The sides and rear of the house are made of rubble, which features a stepped brick weathering to the plinth. The rear retains one leaded wood-framed cross window and has a double-span roof, though there are 20th-century rear extensions. Inside, there is an 18th-century quarter-turn stair with turned balusters.
