Description
Selside is a house that likely dates from the early 18th century, with extensions added in the mid-18th century and later. The building features rendered walls and old plain-tile roofs with brick stacks, forming an L-plan structure with two storeys. The front of the house has an earlier two-window range on the left, which includes a central gabled porch and flanking two-light casements on both the ground and first floors. The roof is half hipped to the left and connects to a taller, slightly later range on the right that projects forward. This section has 20th-century casements, a four-span hipped roof, and a projecting chimney on the right. A further range extends to the left from behind the main block. The interior has not been inspected. The house is included for its group value.
