Description

Strafford House is a house dating from the early 18th century. It features a painted render plinth and red brick construction with flared headers in Flemish bond, topped by an old plain-tile roof and a rendered brick end stack on the right. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door surrounded by a 20th-century moulded wood surround. To the left and right of the door are 20th-century twelve-pane unhorned sash windows with false cambered brick heads. There is a shaped brick band that is broken over the door, situated between the ground and first floors. On the first floor, there are three twelve-pane unhorned sash windows with painted wood architrave surrounds and cambered brick heads. The house also features two gabled full dormers with two-light casements. The right return of the building is constructed from banded limestone rubble and knapped flint. The interior has not been inspected.
