Description

Eagle Lodge, now a house, dates from the late 18th century and was extended in the late 19th century. The front is made of coursed chalk rubble with brick dressings, while the side walls are constructed in English bond brick, and there is a rendered rear extension. The building has a hipped Welsh slate roof with rendered ridge stacks. It features a two-unit plan, is one storey high, and has a one-bay gabled front. There is a flat brick arch over a 20th-century two-light casement window and a similar arch over a 20th-century door to the right. The interior has not been inspected.

In addition to the lodge, there are subsidiary features including a limestone rubble wall with a square ashlar pier to the left. To the right, ashlar gatepiers topped with eagles flank decorative iron gates, and a coursed limestone rubble wall with vertical brick dressings extends to the churchyard. The lodge is included for its group value.
