Description
Ryder's Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse featuring a coursed stone rubble plinth and red brick walls with flared headers arranged in Flemish bond. The roof is covered with old plain tiles and is half-hipped to the right. The building has a brick ridge stack located to the right of the center and an end stack on the left. It has a three-unit lobby-entry plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a four-window range.
To the right of the center, there is a four-panel part-glazed door with a segmental brick head above it. The ground floor has three-light wood casements with segmental brick heads and decorative glazing bars. A flat brick band runs between the ground and first floors. The first floor features three-light wood casements, except for a two-light wood casement to the right of the center, all with decorative glazing bars. The building also includes two gabled dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
