Description

The Sun Inn is a public house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with timber lintels, featuring an old plain-tile roof and a brick gable stack. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with attics. The front has two windows, with a central door situated between three-light casements, and smaller three-light casements on the first floor. A 20th-century canopy is supported by early 18th-century moulded brackets. There are later additions at the rear and on the gable. Inside, there is a large inglenook fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
