Description
The building is a stable located approximately 30 metres northeast of the Manor House, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with dressed quoins and timber lintels, topped with an old plain-tile roof. The stable is one storey plus a loft and features a five-bay front that was originally symmetrical. It has two stable doors beneath half-dormer hay-loft doors, flanked by three 3-light small-pane horizontal sash windows. The door and window to the left have been altered, with garage doors now inserted. The roof is hipped, and there are dormers with remnants of moulded timber eaves-coves.
Inside, the roof trusses support two rows of clasped purlins with braces. The interior fittings are largely intact, including stalls and loose boxes with hay-racks, as well as two moulded stone candle-holders. The tack room on the left has been converted to serve as a garage.
