Description

Choseley Cottage is an early 18th-century house located in Tiddington. It is constructed of colourwashed limestone rubble with timber lintels and some timber framing, and has a thatched roof with brick gable stacks. The building follows a three-unit plan, with one storey and attic space. The front elevation features a door positioned to the left of centre, flanked by three-light casement windows with renewed lintels. Three three-light dormers are visible at the first floor level. A projecting bay to the right has a lower roofline, and contains two-light casement windows at ground floor and within the dormer. The right gable wall features a projecting stone chimney and timber framing with brick infill, with the timber framing returning to a 20th-century extension at the rear. To the left of the main range is a weatherboarded and thatched outbuilding, now incorporated into the house. The interior of the outbuilding exhibits rough queen post trusses.
