Description
The stables, located approximately 80 meters north of Chiselhampton House, date from the late 18th century and were likely altered or extended in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick, featuring some flared headers, and have a concrete block addition, topped with an old plain-tile roof. The building is a single range with one storey plus a loft. The front facade includes three doors, one of which has been enlarged, and three lunette windows arranged asymmetrically. The hipped roof has two gabled loft doors. The rear wall has been rebuilt using concrete block. A lead hopper head on the building is inscribed with the year 1820. The stables form a courtyard with the adjacent coach house.
