Description
Queenford Farmhouse is a mill house that has been converted into a farmhouse, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick, featuring some flared headers and rendering, topped with an old plain-tile roof and brick stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with attics.
The front facade is symmetrical with three windows, showcasing a storey band and gauged brick flat arches, made from flared bricks arranged in header bond with red dressings. The entrance features a six-panel door with an ornamental overlight and a decorated frame, set within a later tiled porch. The windows are fitted with 12-pane sashes, and there are three 6-pane sashes located in the flat-roofed dormers. The hipped roof is complemented by flanking chimneys near the ridge.
On the left end wall, there is a similar 12-pane sash at ground level, with a blind window positioned above it. The rear section of the main block is built with slightly later brickwork and rendering. A lower hipped-roofed wing extends to the rear, featuring additional header-bond flared brickwork. The interior has not been inspected.
