Description
Overy Mill is a watermill dating from the 18th century. It features weatherboarded timber framing on a brick plinth, with some brickwork, and has an old plain-tile roof. The building is a single range with two storeys plus attics. The front has two entrances and irregularly placed windows. To the extreme right, there is a weatherboarded gable, along with three gabled roof dormers and a small gabled opening near the ridge. The roof is half hipped to the left and slopes down at the rear, over a narrow brick outshut. In front of the mill, there is a pitched stone pavement above the millpond, which is retained by a brick wall that contains three segmental-arched openings for the water channels.
