Description

No. 4 High Street is a house that dates from the 16th or 17th century and was extended in the early 18th century. It features a timber frame with colourwashed brick and plaster infill, topped with a thatch roof and a brick ridge stack. The building has a two-unit plan and consists of one storey plus attics. The earlier part of the front, on the left, has two leaded casement windows and a three-light leaded dormer. The right half has light framing with brick infill and contains a plank door, with an additional door located at the rear. Inside, the roof features clasped purlins.
