Description

This is a house, likely originating in the early 17th century and rebuilt in the 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with brick dressings and some timber framing, and has a thatched roof with brick stacks. The building follows a three-unit baffle-entry plan. It has two storeys. The front features a combined door and window to the left, with three-light casements in the centre and to the right. First-floor casements are two lights wide to the left, three lights wide in the centre, and a cellar window is located to the right. Openings are emphasised by brick quoins and incorporate some segmental arches. A straight joint is visible to the right of the centre. The roof is hipped to the left and half-hipped to the right, with a stack featuring a diagonal shaft located to the left of the centre. The rear elevation is half-timber framed, with only the posts remaining and late brick infill. The right gable is cased in brick and features brick dressings and quoins. Inside, a roof beam displays an ogee chamfer with run-out stops, and the roof structure includes straight windbraces.
