Description
This is a house located at 24 Rectory Road, dating from the early 18th century, and possibly even earlier. It is constructed from limestone rubble with timber lintels and features an old plain-tile roof with a brick ridge stack. The building has a 3/4-unit plan, likely with a lobby entry, and is two storeys tall.
The entrance front is situated to the right and includes a central plank door that is set beneath a brick segmental arch. To the left of the entrance, there are two 2-light casements, with an additional casement located on the first floor. On the right side, there is a rendered outshut. The gable facing the road is pebbledashed and has a blocked shop window. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
