Description

This is a former hospital dating to the mid-19th century, constructed by the Shirburn Estate. The building is built of flint with yellow brick dressings, featuring tiled gabled roofs, tall yellow brick chimney stacks, and projecting purlins along overhanging eaves. It has a six-window front. The structure is two storeys high, with projecting central and right-hand bays. Original cast iron latticed casements remain. The interior has been altered, but the ground floor still retains original fireplaces and four-panel doors. This building possesses group value from its contribution to the wider setting.
