Description

This is a shop and dwelling, dating to the 17th and 19th centuries. The building is constructed of colourwashed brick with some light framing, and has old plain-tile roofs and brick stacks. It originally comprised two units, later extended to three. The front has one storey plus attics and two storeys. The central and right bays are older and lower, featuring a central, segmental-arched carriage entry. To the right is a six-panel door and a tripartite sash window, both sharing a segmental arch. To the left is a long, small-pane window from the 18th century, with a half-glazed stable door beneath timber-framed walling. The left bay is taller and contains a canted gabled first-floor bay window above a shop window with three arched small-pane lights. A lower roof has two gabled dormers. The interior remains uninspected.
