Description
31 Market Place is an early 19th-century building located on the south side of Market Place. It features red brick construction with grey brick panels and has a hipped slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and has one window, showcasing early 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars. The shop front is a modern reproduction. This property is now situated at the corner of a new car park approach. It is listed as Grade II for its group value, as it is part of a collection of buildings that includes Nos 5 to 31 (odd) and the Town Hall, which are associated with No 10 and Nos 20 to 36 (even), including the barn at the rear of Nos 32 to 34 (even) on the opposite side of the Market Place.
