Description
No. 12 Bell Lane is a house that likely dates from the early 17th century. The building features coursed stone rubble at the plinth and on the ground floor of the cross-wing to the right. The right side and the first floor of the cross-wing have irregular timber framing with rendered infill, while the left side has irregular timber framing with 20th-century brick infill. The roof is thatched and half-hipped over the cross-wing, with brick ridge stacks. The house is a single storey with an attic and has a three-window range, along with a two-storey, two-bay cross-wing to the right. There are plank doors at the center and at the junction with the cross-wing, and the windows have irregular casement arrangements. The interior has not been inspected.
