Description
This is an outbuilding located approximately 10 metres behind the Rectory Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble and timber framing with brick infill, topped with an old plain-tile roof. The building consists of a main range with a small rear projection. The front features timber framing with two doors set in chamfered frames, while the sides and rear are made of rubble, including two casements in the right gable wall beneath a loft window. The stone gable at the rear has a stone stack and a tiled semi-circular bread oven projection.
Inside, the left side is open to the roof and has clasped purlins, while the right side includes a loft and a large open fireplace at the rear. There is a stone dividing wall under the framed gable with brick infill. This outbuilding may represent a remodelling of an earlier stone structure and is included for its group value with the Rectory Farmhouse.
