Description

Corpus Christi Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It is constructed from limestone rubble, with squared limestone rubble banded with lias rubble, and features a plain-tile roof with brick stacks on stone bases. The building consists of two or three units that have been extended by one additional unit and is two storeys high. The entrance is located between two three-light casements, with a larger casement in a late 17th or early 18th-century banded bay to the left. The first floor has five casements with two and three lights. Most of the frames and some lintels have been renewed. A post on the extreme right may be a remnant of timber-framing. The stacks are positioned on either side of the earlier range, with a massive stepped projection on the right gable wall. The later bay includes a rear wing. The interior has not been inspected.
