Description
Aubrey Hall is a house that dates from the late 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features two parallel ranges, with the late 17th or 18th century section facing the main road and a 19th-century section at the rear. The building is constructed from ironstone ashlar and has a steeply pitched red-tile roof, with stone-coped gables and moulded kneelers. There are stone ridges and internal stacks. The entrance is now located in the 19th-century part of the house.
The elevation facing the main road is two storeys plus an attic and has a three-window range. The ground floor includes casement windows with margin glazing and a 20th-century window with a wooden lintel. The first floor has three sash windows with wooden lintels, with the side windows having been reduced in width, likely replacing original wooden mullioned and transomed windows. There are three two-light roof dormers with moulded cornices, featuring lead cames, crown glass, and wrought-iron casement fasteners. At the center, there is a single-storey ashlar extension that projects outward.
Inside, there is a stick baluster staircase with a wreathed headrail.
