Description
Foreman's House of Wardington House is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-18th century and later. It features a datestone marked R/E/L 1742. The building is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and has a steeply pitched stone slate roof laid to diminishing courses, with stone-coped gables and stone end stacks. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a two-window range. The central entrance is adorned with a Tuscan porch and a four-panelled door set in a moulded wood frame. This entrance is flanked by tall renewed casement windows with ironstone lintels, and there are two similar windows on the first floor. The left end of the house has hood moulds and label stops. The datestone may refer to the Eden family. The interior has not been inspected.
