Description

This is a group of two chest tombs located approximately 20 and 25 meters north of the chancel at the Church of St Mary Magdalene. The first tomb is dated 1812 and is made of ironstone, featuring an inscription to Mary Whooly. It has corner balusters, plain sides, and a moulded, chamfered ledger slab with a stone base. The second tomb, from the early 19th century, is also made of ironstone and commemorates Ann Hawkin and John Chieveley, sharing similar design details with the first tomb.
