Description

This headstone, dated 1662, is located approximately 20 meters southwest of the south aisle of the Church of St. Michael in Alkerton. It is made of limestone and features scrolled shoulders, a winged cherub's head, and a square panel that bears the inscription: "Here lyeth the body of Mary the wife of John Greenway."
