Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, which was remodelled in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, featuring a gabled concrete tile roof. The building has a 19th-century brick ridge stack and end stacks made of stone finished in brick. The layout is L-shaped with a rear right wing and it stands two storeys high, comprising a five-window range.

The front entrance has a segmental stone arch above a 19th-century four-panelled door with an overlight. There are keyed flat stone arches over 19th-century six-pane sash windows, which are horned on the first floor and to the right. To the left, there is a 20th-century door leading to a 20th-century conservatory. A raised storey band runs along the building. At the rear, there is a keyed flat stone arch over an early 19th-century six-panelled door, which has a stone slate pentice above it. An outshut to the left of the rear wing features an 18th-century plank door.

Inside, there are 19th-century doors and shutters. To the right of the hall is a cased beam, while to the left is a late 16th-century moulded beam. The cellar on the left has a 17th-century ribbed door with strap hinges and chamfered beams. An early 18th-century panelled cupboard and chamfered beam can also be found to the left. The first floor contains 17th-century ribbed doors, stop-chamfered beams, and a late 16th-century ogee-stopped beam to the right. There is a 17th-century ribbed door leading to the winder stairs to the attic, which has 17th-century plank doors and butt-purlin roofs.
