Description
Model farmhouse built in 1697 and remodelled around 1840. It features coursed limestone rubble and a stone-coped gabled Welsh slate roof, with a brick stack on the left end and a stone stack on the right. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a symmetrical three-window range. There is a half-glazed 20th-century door and a mid-19th-century timber porch. Stone lintels are present over paired four-pane sash windows with a central stone mullion. The eaves cornice is modillioned wood. To the right, there is a one-storey service block that is similar in style, featuring a datestone in the right gable and a stone lintel over a six-pane sash window, along with a mid-19th-century dentilled eaves cornice. A late 17th-century two-storey rear wing includes a horizontal sliding sash and a mid-19th-century outshut to the right. To the left, there is a mid-19th-century two-storey gabled range. Inside, there are chamfered beams to the right and a 19th-century straight-flight staircase with stick balusters in the central hall. The interior has only been partially inspected.
