Description

This is a group of three chest tombs located approximately 16 meters south of the south transept of the Church of St. Mary. The tombs date from the early 19th century and the mid-18th century and are made of limestone. The tomb to the northeast features a moulded plinth and cornice with black-letter inscriptions, commemorating Mary Hutt, who died in 1826, and William Hutt, who died in 1832. A similar tomb to the southeast commemorates Charles Rowles, who died in 1818. The tomb to the northwest is plain but has a moulded cornice and is dated 1761.
