Description

This headstone, made of limestone, is located approximately 30 metres northeast of the chancel of the Church of St Mary in Bloxham. The inscription is illegible, but it is believed to date from around 1680, as indicated by the Roman capital letters that suggest a late 17th century origin. The headstone features decorative elements such as scrollwork at the top, along with bunches of grapes and garlands. The inscription is set within a central oval panel. This headstone is included for its group value with other nearby headstones.
