Description

This barn, located approximately 100 meters northwest of Brown's Place, dates from the 17th century, and possibly earlier. It features weatherboarded timber framing set on a limestone-rubble plinth, topped with a corrugated-asbestos roof. The barn has a three-bay plan with an additional bay. The larger section on the right includes central double doors but lacks rear doors, while the left bay and the added bay have smaller doors. The roof is half-hipped. Inside, the roof consists of one row of clasped purlins supported by heavy curved struts. The walls display some heavy framing but are partly rebuilt, and the added bay also contains some heavy timbers. This barn is included for its group value.
