Description
No 33 Lower End is a small house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It features timber framing with brick infill and limestone rubble, topped with a thatch roof and brick stacks. The house has a two-unit lobby-entry plan and is one storey plus an attic. The irregular front includes a central doorway and flanking 2-light casement windows, along with two 3-light dormers that have old lattice glazing. The left bay has a rubble plinth and gable wall, while the right bay displays straight and ogee bracing. The roof has stacks located at the left gable end, aligned with the entrance. The interior has not been inspected, and the right bay is likely slightly older than the rest of the structure.
