Description
Kitnocks is a house that consists of two sections built in the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble. The left section features a steeply pitched Welsh slate roof with two brick end stacks, one of which is on a stone base. This part has a two-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic. The ground floor includes a bay window on the left and a three-light casement window with stone voussoirs on the right. There are two two-light casements in the attic, and a two-light casement with crown glass in the right gable end.
The right section has a stone slate roof laid in diminishing courses and a brick ridge stack on a stone base. It has a three-unit plan and is also a single storey plus attic. The entrance features a 20th-century wooden door with a wooden lintel, flanked by casements that also have wooden lintels. There is a small two-light casement on the right end and two two-light casements in the attic storey.
Inside the left part, there are plank doors, a fireplace with a chamfered bressumer, stop-chamfered beams and joists, and a wooden spiral stair. The roof features a butt-purlin.
